Osteria Da Bubi: Reviews & Ratings
We did not have a reservation when we visited but we were welcomed and seated. The food was exceptional! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will absolutely visit again if we come back to Venice. (The Tiramisu was FANTASTIC)
Found this place on maps, was well recommended by sensible reviewers. Its a slightly dark, romantic setup as you enter. Very simple yet classy and tasty looking options on the menu. We ordered Fried Fish, Tagliatelle with beef and pork, Ravioli with burrata and shrimp, the food was very very flavourful, enjoyed every bit of it, the Bubi spritz was tasty and the wine selection and pairing was spot on. It was my wife's bday, they did the desert on the house and also lit a candle on my request. What a nice evening! A good find!
4.7 stars. Dinner here on our 1st evening in Venice. Service was top notch. We had a reservation for 18:30 and showed up 15m early. No problem! They got us seated and were not only hospitable but also enthusiastic to share with us their menu. We started with 4 Spritz Aperols (€7,60 each) and still water (€4,20). Appetizers were the Tris Veneziano (€24) and 3 Capesante (€20). Both of them were delicious. For entrees, wife had the Melanzana Parmesan (€18). Oldest son had the Ravioli Burrata Camberia (€24). Youngest son had the Fettucine Bubi (€44). He raved about the richness of the Parmesan and flavor of the shaved truffle. I had the Tagliatelle Ragu (€18,60) which was average. For desserts, we ordered two Tiramisus (€9 each) and a Gelato Del Giorno (€8). Cover charge is €3,80 each. All-in with round up for excellent service was €235 for a very enjoyable dinner. Grazie mille for the memorable dinner in Venice.
The food was great, I love the their steak, it was very well balanced between the flavor. But the waiters were very dynamic and funny. I didn't reserved anything so we have to sit in the back of the restaurant.
Came here last minute for dinner, the place was busy and seating was tight but the food and wine was amazing! The octopus was delicious, along with the pasta and scallops! Everything was also priced very well.
The truffle pasta was simply divine — rich, fragrant, and absolutely unforgettable. Paired with a glass of wine with soft peachy notes, it turned into a full-blown symphony of flavors. Truly the best pasta we’ve ever tasted. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is cozy, charming, and full of Venetian soul. A place we’ll keep dreaming about — and one we’d wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Venice.
Every aspect of this dining experience was outstanding. I’m so glad I chose to ignore that one-off negative review. What a gem this place turned out to be! This is my favorite city, and now I’ve found my favorite restaurant here too. A perfect 10/10. Bonus points for the charming little Murano glass sea creatures inside the water pitchers—they were absolutely adorable! My five-year-old was completely enchanted and wanted to take every single one home.
